Perry’s Run Across America

Perry Newburn, an ultramarathon runner took on the challenge of attempting a new Masters’ record for running from New York City to Los Angeles in the shortest time, a distance of approximately 2,800 miles and he DID IT!! Perry broke the masters record and did the run in 51 days, 16 hours and 40 minutes. He had the wonderful support from Angie Webb of the Moonjoggers club who drove with him across the country. You can relive his journey by visiting his Face Book page and see his daily videos and photos.

Perry had many people travel for hours to run with him and inspired so many others. We are so grateful to Perry for taking on the journey with him and to date he has raised over $4,500 for our cause. Perry is still fundraising for us and donations can be made to Perry’s run at www.givealittle.co.nz/cause/RunningForKoru.

Check out the story on Perry that was on TV One’s Seven Sharp and his interview after the record was broken.
